What can you tell me concerning the layers of Heaven? How many are there?

If you go to 1 Corinthians Ch.15 vs.41 it speaks of 3 glories. Mormons believe that these 3 glories are different "levels" (as you have described) of heaven that can be attained depending on people's desire to live a Christ centered life. Going to one or the other is not necessarily a punishment, it is the level you desire to be committed to your Savior, and God who created you. There is also outer darkness where Judas who betrayed Christ went. This is reserved only for those who completely deny the Holy Ghost. Hope that gives you some info for your project.
